Hi, I’m Perry van der Steen, a photographer from Gouda, the Netherlands. I shot my first roll of film at twelve and never really stopped. Today I focus on landscapes and portraits, drawn to the quiet patience that film asks for. Working with 35mm and medium format.
Before returning to my own practice, I spent years as a freelance photographer and videographer, assisted other photographers on set, and worked in the camera trade. That hands-on background shaped how I approach tools, process, and craft: keep it simple, respect the subject, and let the environment carry part of the story.
